Ever wish you had a few more than 1,440 minutes in your day? I know I do, so I'm always on the lookout for products or websites that'll help maximize my time - I've found a few that I think are worth checking out. See what you think.

Clip Words Pro: This inexpensive software is perfect for anyone searching for a catchy headline or ideas to springboard writing. It’s especially great for solopreneurs when you don’t have someone to brainstorm ideas with. I’ve used the software for years to help me generate countless customized greetings for clients using my concierge card service.

Colorize Your Computer Files! Isn’t it a pain to try and quickly spot a computer file in the sea of standard Windows yellow folders? I discovered a great freeware program called Rainbow Folders that allows you to recolor your computer files making it much easier to quickly find the folder you’re looking for.

Do you find yourself speaking or writing in acronyms? Then you need to bookmark Acronym Finder. This site has over 900,000 human edited acronyms along with 4 million acronyms and abbreviations. Clicking on an acronym brings up a page that displays it sorted by 7 categories (all definitions, information technology, military & government, science & medicine, organizations, schools, etc., business & finance, and slang, chat & pop culture). Some acronyms are linked to the specific definition by category so you can be sure you’re using it correctly.

Free Conference Call Numbers: Need to host a conference call but don’t have the budget for a toll-free number? There are a slew of conference call services available these days where you can sign up for a free account. Once you have an account, a conference call number with host and participant codes is emailed to you. Some services also have a web-based interface, and offer recording of the calls for later playback. It’s important to note that most of these “free” services require you to dial a long-distance number to connect to the conference line, so all participants will likely be charged long distance fees from their individual telephone carriers. I’ve used freeconferencing.com, but have to admit on one conference call, we were all dropped almost immediately after connecting (which is a good reminder to have a back-up plan!). Google “Free conference call” for a list of the various providers and services offered (or stay tuned for a future post where a comparison of the top 5 services will be featured).

Doodle Online Scheduler: Trying to schedule meetings or teleconferences with individuals who already have overloaded calendars can be a nightmare. I've used Doodle for a couple of years to find the best day and time for a variety of meetings and find it to be a huge time-saver. The service is free and very easy to use. Give it a try to schedule your next meeting and see for yourself!

Finding tools to help maximize our time (and sometimes budgets) is one way to extract every minute of our day...at least until we get that extra 60 minutes back on November 6th!
